eFlightLog Flight Data Entry

The FlightLog is displayed in a classic TechLog format, listing all legally required information.

In the PDF generated after completion of the FlightLog, this data is shown exactly as displayed. In addition, information about performed maintenance work, MX CRS, and current HIL items is included.

Every time a completed FlightLog is modified, a new PDF version is created. All versions are accessible to authorized users.

With the FlightAssistant, the pilot is guided step by step through the FlightLog entry process.

Step 1 – Status

The pilot is shown the current status of the helicopter (Ready / Not Ready to Fly), including information about the last maintenance and the previous flight.

The maintenance history, the Hold Items List (HIL), and the onboard documents can be viewed.

Expired maintenance deadlines or onboard documents trigger a “Not Ready to Fly” status. Completion of the maintenance/repair must first be confirmed.

Step 2 – Check-In

All bookings from Flight Planning for the current day, helicopter, and pilot are displayed.

By clicking “Check-In,” the data already recorded in the booking is transferred to the FlightLog.

Step 3 – Before Flight

The pilot confirms that the required pre-flight checks have been completed, records fuel upload, and adds or adjusts details about crew, flight type, and passengers as needed.

Any damage or anomalies identified before the flight can be reported here — the report is forwarded directly to CAMO.

By signing under “PIC Sign On,” the pilot confirms airworthiness and proceeds to Step 4 – Flight.

Step 4 – Flight

The pilot enters the flight data into the FlightLog. Any number of flight segments (legs) can be recorded.

Step 5 – After Flight

The pilot is shown an overview of the recorded flights.

In this step, the pilot can record fuel uplift after the flight and confirm completion of the required post-flight checks. Regularly recurring checks are displayed along with their due dates.

At this point, any damage or anomalies that occurred or were noticed can be recorded — the report is saved and immediately sent to CAMO.

Step 6 – Completion

Where necessary and not already transferred from the planning data, the pilot records the customer and payment method.

Additional flight reporting details and extra email recipients for the FlightLog PDF can also be entered here.

By signing under “PIC Sign Off,” the FlightLog is completed, and the official PDF copy is sent to all recipients.

Synovel Flight Data Recorder – Transmitter (FliDaRT)

If a Synovel Flight Data Recorder-Transmitter is installed, the flight data required in Step 4 – Flight (rotor start, takeoff, landing, departure/arrival airport or GPS position) can be transferred for each leg with a single click. Only fuel consumption and, if applicable, the cycle counters still need to be entered manually.

On the FlightList page, a link will appear allowing the recorded flight route, including all landings, to be displayed in OpenStreetMap.
