Counters

Cycles counters:

If the Aircraft Type has Cycles counters activated, the corresponding inputs will be shown in FlightLog and FlightAssistant.

The entry is always the current total Cycles and must be at least as high as the previous total. Missing entries or lower than previous values generate an error.

The Cycles for the flight are calculated and the running total shown as previous total in the next FlightLog / Leg.

On the Aircraft Type level, you can define if Cycles, Cycles N1, N2 and/or N3 are counted, define the label of the input so it corresponds to the label on the display in the aircraft and set the number of decimal places shown on the display in ‚Cycles NDecimals‘.

Flight Time and Rotor Turning Time counters:

If a specific Aircraft has built in Flight Time (FT) and / or Rotor Turning Time (RTT) counters, you must activate these options for that aircraft. You must also specify if the instrument in the aircraft shows a flight total or a running total of all flights. The corresponding input is activated in FlightAssistant Step 4 – Flight.

Possible Counter configurations for Flight Time and Rotor Turning Time:

1. No Counters:

In Backend -> aircraft :

In FlightAssistant: Pilot enters Air-Time between Takeoff and Landing:

Airtime is set to (Landingtime-Takeofftime) IF empty OR IF greater than (Landingtime-Takeofftime). The running total Flight Time AC is calculated and displayed in the FlightLog

2. Flight Time Counter (Flight Total) :

In Backend -> aircraft :

In FlightAssistant: Pilot enters Air-Time between Prev. Counter and new Counter total:

New Total Airtime is calculated. Landing is set to (Takeofftime+Airtime) IF empty OR IF less than (Takeofftime+Airtime).

3. Flight Time Counter (Running Total) :

In Backend -> aircraft :

In FlightAssistant: Pilot enters value shown on the counter of the aircraft:

Airtime is calculated. Landing is set to (Takeofftime+Airtime) IF empty OR IF less than (Takeofftime+Airtime)

4. RTT Counter (Flight Total)

In Backend -> aircraft :

In FlightAssistant: Pilot enters Rotor Turning Time for the leg :

New Total RTT is calculated. Block-On is set to (Block-Off + RT-Time) IF empty OR IF less than (Block-Off + RT-Time)

5. RTT Counter (Running Total)

In Backend -> aircraft :

In FlightAssistant: Pilot enters value shown on aircraft counter :

RT-Time is calculated. Block-On is set to (Block-Off + RT-Time) IF empty OR IF less than (Block-Off + RT-Time)

Validation of Input

The following validation of input is used for the time fields in FlightLog and FlightAssistant:

  • Flighttime cannot be greater than the time between Take-Off and Landing
  • Landing can not be before Take-Off
  • Landing cannot be after Block-On
  • Take-Off cannot be before Block-Off
  • Block-On cannot be before Block-Off

If RTT-Counters are activated:

  • Rotor Turning Time (RTT) cannot be greater than the time between Block-Off and Block-On
  • Flightime cannot be greater than Rotor Turning Time
