Before you can start using eFlightLog, you must first save your aircraft, pilots and a few other data to the database. To do this, you must have a user account with editor rights.
As editor you see all links in the top-menu:
Klick on ‚Backend‚ and choose eFlightLog on the left menu to edit the data tables.
Click on a button with the table name to display the table data in list view.
Add new records with the ‚New Record‘ (Hinzufügen) link in the top left corner of the table, or use the ‚Edit Record‚ button to show all details of the record for editing. Clicking the ‚Show History‚-Button in the ‚Edit Record‘-view shows all previous versions of the current record together with timestamp and user.
The ‚Copy Record‚ button generates a copy of the selected record which can be edited and saved as new entry.
Use the ‚Delete Record‚ button to delete a table entry (will display an error if related records are present – e.g. an aircraft can not be deleted if flights have been saved for this aircraft).
Click on the column header of a particular column to sort the list by the values in the column. The first click sorts in ascending, the second click in descending order.
Click on the magnifying glass to set a filter for the corresponding column. Enter the text to search/filter for in the input displayed and press Enter or click on ‚Set Filter‘ to filter the list to show only corresponding entries.
After setting a filter, your filter criterium is shown. You can change/edit your filter here or click on ‚Remove Filter‘ to show all entries in the table (exceptions: Aircraft and Pilots, see below). Any new filter replaces an existing filter, you can only filter for values in one column.
In the Aircraft and Pilots tables, the default filter is Aktiv=1 and the list shows only active Aircraft and Pilots (unless you change the filter e.g. to show all inactive Pilots). When you filter by Pilots last name, the list will show all pilots in the table with that criterium in last name, if active or not. If you remove the filter in Pilots and Aircraft, the filter defaults to active again.
Before launching your eFlightLog-Domain as ‚productive‘, be sure you have edited all necessary Settings and Email Templates to suit your firm.
