License expiry reminders are sent automatically, if the corresponding cron-task has been installed for you by your eFlightLog service provider. The expiry check / mailing process can be run in a predefined interval (daily, weekly etc.)
A first reminder is sent for all pilots with Pilot- and LCS-Licenses expiring within 60 days, a 2nd and 3rd reminder after expiry comes within 30 and 0 days respectively. Each reminder is sent only once, unless you manually set back the Reminder Number.
Sending of license expiry reminders can be triggered manually by clicking on the send reminder email button in the Pilots form.
To update license expiry dates for the pilot, click on the edit button and enter the new expiry date.
On changing the expiry date, the field Reminder Number is set back to 0 and the Reminder Date is emptied.
Don’t forget to click on ‚Save‘ to save your changes.
You can change / format the header and footer text of the reminder emails by editing the corresponding email templates.
