Maintenance tasks

At different points in FlightAssistant you may be asked to confirm performance of maintenance tasks.

In step 1 – Aircraft Status: If Limited Certifying Staff (LCS) tasks are due you must first perform the tasks and create a Release to Service (LCS RS).

Click on the ‚Perform RS‘ button to display the RS Form, and confirm you have performed the tasks by clicking one of the checkboxes and signing the RS. As you must always perform all AMM’s and AD’s listed, clicking one checkbox checks/unchecks all.

If the checkbox next to a maintenance task is green, it means that the task is still valid and does not need to be performed at the moment. You can still perform the task, prolonging the validity.

If the checkbox next to a maintenance task is red, it means validity has expired and you, or a technician with the appropriate qualifications, must perform the task.

Tipp: you don’t have to tap exactly on the checkbox! Tapping on the text will do!

The newly created RS can be opened from the FlightLog form or in FlightAssistant step 1 – Aircraft Status by opening the RS-History popup and clicking on the RS-ID link.

In step 3 – Before Flight: If daily or preflight checks are due, they will be displayed in red in FlightAssistant step 3 – Before Flight. Depending on the settings for the task, the technician performing the task can be someone other than the pilot and must sign separately to certify tasks as done.

In step 4 – Flight: If maintenance tasks have been defined to be done During Flight, they will be displayed in FlightAssistant step 4 – Flight, in green if not expired (together with the interval when due), in orange if validity has expired. They serve as reminder to do the check during your flight – performance of the task is recorded in the next step of FlightAssistant.

In step 5 – After Flight: If maintenance tasks have been defined to be done During or After Flight, they will be displayed in step 5 –  in green if not expired (together with the interval when due), in red if validity has expired.
In each FlightLog you must also confirm that the Post Flight Inspection was done and no Defects / Damages / Anomalies were found.
