Flights

In FlightAssistant step 4 – Flight you record the actual flight(s).

Fields where input is expected are highlighted with borders in orange and yellow background. The next expected input is bordered in red (see image).

Time entries must always be made in hours AND minutes (00 for whole hours), but you do not have to type the colon (:), it is set for you. If you enter decimal values (e.g. 1.75) the nearest value in hours:minutes (1:45) is calculated and set when you leave the input.

Flight type and crew are carried over from step 3 – Before Flight, but can be changed for each leg.

Begin your flight by checking that the correct departure airport is displayed. Changes should not be necessary! – departure airport is set automatically to the last landing airport of the aircraft. Please inform CAMO if you have to make changes here!.

The ‚Fuel on Board IND‘ for the first Leg was already entered / calculated in step 3 – Before Flight. On further legs use the ‚Add Fuel Upload Before Flight‚ button to enter fuel upload for the current leg in the input displayed.

Enter Block Off time (LT) or use the ‚Set‚ button to set the current time. Your FlightLog status is automatically saved to the database on Block Off.

To set departure or arrival airport, enter the ICAO Code – or a part of the Airport name – in the input. If more than one airport is found with the text you entered in its name, you will be presented with a list to choose from.

If geo-positioning is activated on your device, you can also use the ‚Get nearest Airport‚ button after landing – if an airport is found within 1.5 km of your position, it is set automatically, if not, a list of the 20 nearest airports is shown to choose from.

Depending on the Aircraft Type and on the counters in the aircraft, you must enter Rotor Turning Time (RTT) and Flight Time (FT) either for the flight or in the inputs for total RTT / FT.

Enter the number of landings for the leg. If the Aircraft Type has special Landing Markers defined, click on the ‚Add Landing Markers‚ button to open the Landing Markers popup and record your special landings.

Depending on the Aircraft Type you will have to record other counter values (cycles, usage etc.) displayed on the aircraft VEMD or other instruments.

You can save your FlightLog status to the database at any time by clicking on ‚Save Leg‚ but you must complete all entries for a leg before you can continue to Step 5 – After Flight or click on ‚New Leg‚ to start a new flight in this FlightLog.
